Multiple Teams · HRV Gets Commanding Win over Horizon, 81-26

The HRV Mens Basketball program got a great win over cross-town Horizon Hawks Thursday night, winning 81-26 in Hood River’s first home game in over 3 weeks. HRV came out with a large lead to start the game and never looked back. HRV had one of its best statistical games of the season shooting over 45% from the field and 70% from the free throw line. They also only turned the ball over 11 times and grabbed 42 total rebounds. Scoring was lead by JJ Mears with 24, including 5 three pointers, and Dakota Kurahara with 18 points.

The win was much needed for the HRV team that has had many games cancelled and suffered tough losses in the last three weeks. With only one week left before league games start, HRV is looking for positive momentum heading into Pendleton next Friday.
