Multiple Teams · HRV Men’s Basketball Sweeps The Dalles


All three Men’s Basketball teams at HRV beat The Dalles this week. The Feshman started off on Monday with a. 15 point victory in The Dalles. Then Tuesday, HRV hosted The Dalles at Vannet Court getting two more victories.

 

The Varsity played a quick paced game filled with ups and downs and came away with a 66-63 Columbia River Conference win. The Eagles were led by Dakota Kurahara with 21 points, followed closely by Jonah Tactay with 20. The Eagles played great defense, stealing the ball from the visiting Riverhawks multiple times, and keeping their primary scorer to only 1 point in the first half. The Eagles out rebounded The Dalles 47-31, including 18 offensive boards, and shot 21 for 30 from the free throw line.

 

The JV team also beat The Dalles with a score of 70-56, with Sophomore shooter Carson Flores chipping in 32 points, followed by Caden Leiblein with 9 and Brandon Rivera with 8.

 

The Eagles prepare the rest of the week for a home game against Pendleton on Friday night at Vannet Court. Frosh/JV play at 5:15, Varsity starts at 7 PM. Come support your Eagle Basketball team! Go Eagles!
