The Eagles handed the Ridgeview Ravens a defeat in both girls and boys swimming tonight at the Hood River Aquatic Center. Finals scores for the girls Hood River 129 – Ridgeview 26. Boys scores were Hood River 75 – Ridgeview 44. This brings the 2019-2019 season Win Loss record to 6-1 for the girls, and 2-4-1 for the boys (who had a tie against Centennial).
Swimming to double wins again tonight were Luke Southall, Sarah Arpag, Faith Ocheskey, Chad Klaas and Celilo Brun. HRV Eagles swept (1-2-3) six girls events on the way to their win. The 200 Individual Medley (Sarah, Campbell Keller and Abby McCormack), 50 freestyle (Faith, Lillie Tomlinson, Chloe Bullock), 100 butterfly (Celilo, Madaket Greenleaf, Campbell), 100 free (Faith, Lillie, Olivia Sumerfield), 400 free (Alea McCarty, Miyuki Gerald, Maria Sandoval), 100 breaststroke (Celilo, Abby, Teddy Parkinson) and the 400 free relay (A – Faith, Lillie, Celilo, Sarah; B – Olivia, Gigi Ziada, Maria, Alea; C – Maddie Jones, Mary Rose Kissinger, Peri O’Connell, Grace Skakel).
The boys went 1-2 in the 200 free (Luke, Joshua Humann), 50 free (Chad, David Hecksel) and the100 backstroke (Adam, Henry Jones), while their 200 free relays took first and third with the A relay-Charlie Bickfored, David, Luke, Chad and the B- Mario Jaimez Villa, Adam Burke, Henry, Joshua.
Next up the Eagles compete in The Dalles Invitational this Saturday January 12 at the Hood River Aquatic Center, and they host Gladstone for their last non-conference dual meet of the season on Thursday January 17th.
