We welcome Amanda Phillips as the new head Cross Country Coach at Hood River Middle School! Previously Coach Phillips has been teaching and coaching at The Dalles Middle School. She has just been hired as the new Health Teacher at HRMS in Hood River.

Last year Coach Phillips was the Head Track Coach for The Dalles Middle School and from 2012-2017 she was the Head distance track coach for the Roseburg Track team for 5 years. During that time she coached the Girls X-country team for 3 years, and then moved to assistant of whole cross country team for two years at the High School level.
Amanda is a native Oregonian graduating from Phoenix HS in Phoenix, OR and earning her Bachelors of Arts degree in English and Psychology in 2008 from Lewis & Clark College in Portland. She also competed for the track & cross country teams at Lewis & Clark for 4 years. In 2018 she was inducted in to the Lewis & Clark Athletic Hall of Fame.
