The Eagle Swimmers started off their season with a W for both the boys and girls tonight in Gresham. The girls final score was HRV 118 – Gresham 52, and for the boys HRV 100 – Gresham 49.
Leading the way for the girls was Sarah Arpag with individual wins in both the 100 fly and 100 back, and she was also a member of the winning 200 Medley and 400 Free relays. The boys had two double event winners – David Hecksel who placed first in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke and was on the winning 200 Medley and 200 Free relays, and Connor McElwee who won the 50 free and 100 fly individual events and was also on the top ranked 200 Free and 400 Free relays.
Celilo Brun won the 200 IM and was 2nd in the 100 breast and was on the top ranked 200 Medley and 400 Free relays, while Madaket Greenleaf won the 200 free and was 3rd in the 100 fly, and was on the winning 200 Medley relay. Faith Ocheskey had the fastest time in the 50 free for the win, scored points with a 4th place finish in the 100 fly, and was the anchor to the 200 Medley relay. Lillie Tomlinson won the 100 freestyle, was 2nd in the 50 free, and on the winning 400 Free relay.
Clayton Lee picked up a win in the 100 free and was 2nd in the 200 IM, while assisting the 400 Free relay in placing 1st as well. Luke Southall won the 200 Free and was 2nd in the 100 free, and was a member of the winning 200 Medley and 200 Free relays. Gavin Hackett won the 100 back and was 2nd in the 100 fly and also assisted with the 1st place 200 Medley and 200 Free relays.
Other girls scoring points in tonight’s meet included Chloe Bullock who was 2nd in the 200 free and 3rd in the 500 free and helped with the 200 Free relay win; Hazel Farr with 3rd in the 100 free and 3rd in the 100 back; Jessica Galvez who was 3rd in the 200 IM and 2nd in the 100 free; Neilly Kendall who was 4th in the 200 IM and 4th in the 100 back; Mary Rose Kissinger who was 5th in the 500 free; Teddy Parkinson who was 4th in both the 200 free and 100 breast and also on the winning 200 Free relay; Olivia Sumerfield who was 2nd in the 500 free and also assisted with the 200 Free relays win; and Emma Titus who placed 3rd in both the 50 free and 100 breast and leadoff the 200 Free relay.
On the boys side Corbett Blackman scored points in the 50 free; Adam Burke was 3rd in the 200 free and 2nd in the 500 free, plus he was on the winning 400 free relay; Henry Jones was 4th in the 100 breast; Pen Paphanchith was 4th in the 200 free and 3rd in the 100 back and was on the top ranked 200 Medley relay; Tristin Smith was 3rd in the 100 free; Owen Summersett was 3rd in the 50 free, 3rd in the 500 free and he anchored the winning 400 Free relay. Jack Wilson scored points in his first swim meet for the Eagles in the 100 breast.
Next week finds the Eagles back to Portland to compete at David Douglas.
