Both the boys and girls swim teams claimed victory in the double duals swam at the Hood River Aquatic Center Thursday. Scores for the Boys were HRV 93 – St Helens 72, and HRV 116 – Gladstone 17. Scores for the Girls were HRV 131 – St Helens 38, and HRV 139 – Gladstone 27.
Swimmers who won their events and led the team to victory included Sarah Arpag – 200 free & 100 fly, Celilo Brun – 200 IM & 100 breast, Adam Burke 400 free (and 3rd in 200 free), Gavin Hackett 100 breast (and 4th in 100 fly), David Hecksel 50 free & 100 back, Campbell Keller 100 back (and 3rd in 100 fly), Faith Ocheskey 100 & 200 free, Luke Southall 200 free & 100 free, and Olivia Sumerfield 400 free (and 3rd in 200 free).
The quartet of Madaket Greenleaf (200 free & 100 fly), Clayton Lee (200 IM & 100 fly), Owen Summersett (200 free & 400 free) and Lillie Tomlinson (50 free & 100 free) were 2nd in both their events, while the trio of Lucas Elliott (200 IM & 100 back), Abby McCormack (50 free & 100 free), and Emma Titus (200 IM and 100 breast) finished 3rd in both their events.
Other varsity swimmers included Moze Banks (6th in both the 50 free and 100 breast), Chloe Bullock (2nd in 400 free), Jessica Galvez (4th 200 IM and 3rd 100 back), Henry Jones (5th 50 free), Angus Kellems (6th 100 free and 2nd 100 breast), Teddy Parkinson (2nd 100 breast), and Abby Tomlinson (4th 100 back).
Next up for the Eagles include Intermountain Conference competition Ridgeview and Redmond at the Hood River Aquatic Center on January 30th, followed by the last dual meet of the season on February 6th against The Dalles.
